A-Z Challenge, Day 2 - B!

Wahoo! I made it two whole days so far! Today is April 2nd and the letter is...
So of course, my post is about BOOKS. I love them soo much. I recently released my first one as an ebook, and I'm torn on the debate between whether ebooks or printed books are better. I think they both have pros and cons; things I like and things I don't. For example, when I'm going on a trip, packing five or six books in my suitcase is HEAVY, but I can easily put several on my phone (I have the kindle app. No ereader...yet).

BUT, I love books. Ebooks don't feel real to me. I want to hold the book in my hand, and see the cover for real. I love to flip through random pages and get sneak peeks into what's ahead, and reading the ending first in an ebook is HARD. At least on my phone, it is. And I must always read the ending first!

    1. That is an awesome plan! See? There's a place for both of them in our world!

  2. I love both e-books and traditional books. When I'm on the go I bring my e-device. There's nothing like the feel of real pages in your hand though. :)

  4. Hi Wendy! Yay for A-Z.
I thought I would have a hard time giving up paperback books...but once I got my kindle, I have a hard time reading the paperback. I just love to read on the kindle. But I really think I'd hate to read on a phone.

    1. Yes, I might have a completely different outlook on ebooks if I had something besides a phone to read them on! One day...

  5. I LOVE my E-Reader for it's convenience of being able to simply download a book, and they're all right there in my hand.

But there's something almost magical about holding the book in your hand, hearing the binding groan in annoyance as you open it, the smell of the pages as they flip, etc...

It's like being connected to the distant past. What other things do we use these days that they used in early history, really?

I'm so anal about my books, that when I was in college, I REFUSED to write in my book as instructed. I pail $100+ dollars per book, I wasn't going to WRITE in it!

    1. I was the EXACT SAME WAY! How funny! And I love that thinking about books. Such a cool way to look at them!

  6. I've been reading on my kindle for the past 1.5 years and am so glad I made the shift from paperback to e-reader. It was a little bit difficult to adjust at first. But knowing that I can switch between books depending on my mood while travelling or on the go is a definite PRO for me. I used to have problems packing books for vacations to because I'd worry I'd run out of books to read. I'd sacrifice clothing space for books everytime :)

  7. I love real books ... the touch, smell, heaviness on my belly ... no Kindles for me! Thank you so much for stopping by to say hello; I am your newest follower.
