Writing and music go hand in hand for me. When I'm writing battle scenes, it's impossible to do without the right music. And it amazes me that there are songs out there that capture the essence of my characters. One is by Halestorm. I can't post it here because it has a ton of naughty words. It's called Here's to Us, and every time I hear it, I think of Ari singing it.
A friend of mine, the amazing author Laura Josephsen, led me to this song today. She hasn't read Feudlings but she has heard me chatter about my characters for over a year, and she said this song reminded her of them. So I checked it out and fell in love. Like, instantly. Love at first sight :) Here's the video with the lyrics!

I absolutely love this song! It is the theme song for Only Half Alive. In fact the night I announced I was publishing the book, I heard this song and just knew it was the perfect song!
